Reading and quizzes

You do not need an account. Your answer choices stay in the current page. We do not send your answers or saved progress to Google Analytics.

Saved learning progress

After you check all five questions, we save the lesson, its version, completion time and first score in this browser. Later attempts keep that first saved score. An updated lesson version starts fresh. Progress stays here until you clear it or your browser removes it. It is not sent to a server or shared between devices. If browser storage is unavailable, you can still read and use the quiz.

Optional analytics

If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics to help us understand visits and use of the site. Google processes information about pages viewed, browser and device, and uses cookies to recognise visits. We also measure lesson views, quiz completions, links opened to another lesson, and the first time a recording plays. These events include the lesson and its version, but not your answers or score. Activity before you agree is not sent later. When you open another lesson in the same tab, we temporarily keep the two lesson IDs and source version in that tab to measure the link after navigation. This record is used once, expires after one minute, and is removed when processed or when you reject analytics. We do not enable Google signals or advertising personalisation in our site code.

If you reject analytics, our site does not load the Google Analytics tag. You can change your choice using Analytics settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent reloads the page and removes this site's Analytics cookies; data already sent is not erased by this action.

We save your analytics choice in this browser for up to 180 days. Our Analytics cookie setting is 90 days without extending it on each visit. Our Google Analytics retention settings are 2 months for event data and 14 months for user data. New activity resets the retention period for user data, so it may be kept longer while you remain active. These settings do not apply to standard summary reports. Hosting

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical connection information to deliver and protect the website. This can include your IP address and request information. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Email and questions

If you email us, the site owner receives your email address and anything you include in the message through Gmail. We use your message to respond. We keep contact emails until the site owner deletes them manually; there is no automatic deletion schedule. There is no contact form on this site. Please avoid sending sensitive information that we do not need.

To ask about your messages or request their deletion, contact us. Gmail also processes email under Google's policies.
