A study plan for a busy week
Follow Omar as he fits a short reading task around work and changes one part of his plan.
Omar works in a café and goes to an English class on Thursday evenings. This week, his teacher asks everyone to read a short story before class. Omar wants to finish it without reading the whole story on one busy evening.
On Sunday, he makes a small timetable. On Monday, after dinner, he will read the first two pages. On Tuesday, he will read the next two pages and write down three new words. Wednesday is his late shift, so he plans no reading that evening. On Thursday morning, he will read his notes again before work.
On Tuesday, a friend asks Omar to help move a table. He agrees, but he still wants time for his story. He reads before visiting his friend instead of after dinner.
When Thursday arrives, Omar has finished all four pages. He takes his notes to class. There is one word he still does not understand, so he asks his teacher about it. His timetable helped him find time, but he also changed it when he needed to.
